• Most Accurate USB Microphone for Dragon 11 ?

A lot of people ask me:

Whats the best, most accurate USB microphone for Dragon Naturally Speaking 11.5?

Well it does depend on your budget. And until recently I'd recommened the NC7100 USB noise cancelling microphone from Andrea. Its accurate, fairly priced and physically robust. Its also a fair bit cheaper if you buy it as a bundle with Dragon 11 from Buy Dragon 11 Software

Well the goalposts have just been moved. Dragon 11 is a much more accurate program than v10 and it demands increasingly more from your microphone.

Fortunately after many years in development, Andrea electronics have released the new NC181VM-USB high definition, superior accuracy headset microphone.

We have tested this new microphone and it is considerably more accurate then the NC7100. Its is VASTLY more accurate than the bundled Dragon standard analogue microphone. It returns a clarity of voice that Dragon 11 just loves. So the accuracy is astounding. The combination of the new Dragon 11 release and this new 3rd generation USB microphone means that speech recognition has just reached a new level in usability!

    Also:
    • It has volume and mute controls
    • Is driven by an inbuilt version of the new USBSA digital noise canceling soundcard
    • Cancels almost all background noise in most environments.
    • Has a similar physical build to the NC7100 so is very durable and comfortable to use
    • Comes in a stereo version called an NC185VMUSB see here. So if you need top quality speech recognition and quality audio playback get the stereo variant.
Dont take my word for it. Nuance ( makers of Dragon) have tested the NC181USB and given it the MAXIMUM rating for accuracy of 6/6 stars.

These microphones are in stock at www.voicerecognition.com.au and can be shipped overnight. They are also bundled with the new Dragon 11 version at a cheaper price.

If you have any questions about this mic then ask away!

Every time I check and adjust my audio settings on dragon, as soon as I finish the audio testing the program exits and presumably I lose the settings.
